Gusty Spence, formed member of the UVF and one of the first Loyalists to be imprisoned for murder. Gusty later renounced violence after his time in prison instead calling for peace. He later joined the PUP and within such played a leading role in the Loyalist ceasefires.
Gusty died yesterday today aged 78.
